The app processes the blood pressure and pulse readings you enter, optional notes to those readings and optional profile details: name, age, sex, weight, whether you take blood pressure medication and your selected region.
Under the GDPR, data concerning health is a special category of personal data. The app therefore handles it so that it never leaves your device.
Only in the storage of your device. The app has no server, creates no user account, requires no registration and does not send your readings anywhere. It works without an internet connection.
No one. The app contains no analytics, advertising libraries or tracking tools. Data is not shared with third parties and is not used for profiling.
PDF exports are created on your device. You then save or send the file yourself, for example to your doctor. Once you send a file, what happens to it is up to you and the recipient.
You can delete your data directly in the app or by uninstalling the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, because no server backup exists.
Because your data never leaves your device and the controller has no access to it, you exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure and portability directly in the app. The export function serves as the tool for data portability.
The app asks for permission to show notifications if you turn on measurement reminders. This permission is optional and can be withdrawn at any time in your system settings.
Sistovia is not a medical device. It records and displays values you measure yourself and compares them with guidelines published by medical societies. It does not diagnose any condition, determine treatment or advise changing medication. Decisions about diagnosis and treatment belong exclusively to your doctor.
